RED

A couple of weeks ago I went to Santa Fe, NM with Sean Diediker and Ben McPherson. We were going in to the different galleries just looking at the work and making conversation with the different Gallery owners. This gentlemen was one of those gallery owners and was very gracious in letting me get some pictures of him for a painting. Its pretty obvious why he needed to be painted isn't it? Incidentally this painting will be part of a 3-man show at Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe on the 4th of July. Sean Diediker, Ben McPherson, and myself.

Hey- I'm glad your getting posty these days. I always look forward to seeing what you'll do next. This is nice, he looks great and I think you are awesome with backgrounds. It's kind of weird thinking of this guy walking around the gallery without a shirt on tho. I assume he took it off just for your pics?

I love the way this painting turned out, and your use of Sienna in the background. Justin, I love your work.

Wow, so basically you can just take a picture of someone and then paint them? I love that you have an eye for coolness- that painting has so much character!

The light, the light! This piece really glows. You never cease to amaze me. I like that the gentleman has a different look. Now you need to do someone with a tattoo....that would be cool too.
